Abstract: The InsetoNut Project (Embrapa SEG n. 30.19.90.011.00.00) identified, in literature, 18 species of pests of macadamia nut crop producing areas abroad, which are also considered Absent Quarantine Pest (AQP) in Brazil. Among them are Conogethes punctiferalis, Epiphyas postvittana, Spodoptera littoralis, and Thrips hawaiiensis. Territorial zoning maps of Brazilian areas apt to the development of these AQP have already been made available by the project indicating favorability varying according to the specie in macadamia nut crop producing municipalities in São Paulo State, including Dois Córregos, Jaboticabal, and São Carlos. This work estimated the potential number of generations, as well as the mean duration time of one generation (egg-to-egg), for the four AQP, obtained in the interval from January to December and considering their respectively thermal requirements, from literature, and mean thermal conditions (period of 2000 to 2021) of the aforementioned municipalities. Monthly average minimum and maximum temperatures were obtained from data recovered from the Meteorological Data Bank of the National Institute of Meteorology (BDMET/INMET). The estimates obtained for the number of annual generations of all the AQP evaluated were compared with those reported abroad, in literature. The influence of the lower average temperatures registered in São Carlos, when compared to those expressed by the others municipalities, determined the longer duration observed for the development of a generation of the insects under this condition, resulting in the lowest number of generations per year observed for this municipality. The information obtained supports the PQA Integrated Management strategies, in the event of future detection in Brazil.
