Estagnação da Língua Inglesa no Brasil
O presente estudo tem como tema “Estagnação da Língua Inglesa no Brasil”. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, pautada nos pressupostos teóricos de vários autores e fontes sobre os motivos do Brasil estar estagnado, sem avanços em relação ao ensino da língua inglesa. Nestes termos, o estudo teve como principal objetivo refletir acerca do ensino e da aprendizagem de língua inglesa no Brasil partindo de uma perspectiva que contemple os fatores socioculturais e, também, os fatores linguísticos que podem influenciar o aprendizado de uma língua estrangeira. O estudo se justifica devido ao elevado grau tecnológico da atualidade, exigir cada vez mais que a sociedade esteja preparada para atuar em situações onde a língua inglesa será necessária, sendo imprescindível discutir e revisar continuamente a temática das causas dessa estagnação. Como resultado percebe-se que os grandes pilares reflexivos para essa problemática são o descaso da sociedade em aprender uma língua estrangeira, falta de investimentos governamentais e despreparação dos profissionais.

Abstract:
The present study has as it is theme “English Language Stagnation in Brazil”. It is a bibliographical research, based on the theoretical assumptions of several authors and sources about the reasons why Brazil is stagnant, without advances in relation to the teaching of the English language. In these terms, the study had as main objective to reflect on the teaching and learning of English in Brazil from a perspective that contemplates the sociocultural factors and also the linguistic factors that can influence the learning of a foreign language. The study is justified due to today's high technological level, which increasingly demands that society be prepared to act in situations where the English language will be necessary, and it is essential to continually discuss and review the theme of the causes of this stagnation. As a result, it is clear that the main reflective pillars for this problem are society's neglect of learning a foreign language, lack of government investment and unpreparedness of professionals.
