Abstract: The present work aims to present discussions and reflections regarding the practice of an internship experience at the UFC Arts Museum. This dissemination of the practice is designed with the aim of valuing this activity and presenting its benefits, as well as all the learning acquired that contributes to the training of future educators. What can be learned from the experience as a mediator who collaborates with training and performance in formal education classrooms is discussed. It is concluded that such contributions are numerous, making the practice of mediation an invitation to alternative pedagogical strategies, stimulating continued training and the relationship between the exercise of the role of researcher, teacher and heritage educator.
