ESTADO WESTFALIANO VERSOS ESTADO-NAÇÃO E SEUS REFLEXOS NAS COLÔNIAS DA AMÉRICA LATINA
O presente estudo tem como objetivo expor a diferença entre o Estado Westfaliano e o Estado-Nação. No século XVIII, com as mudanças e transformações no sistema internacional há uma ruptura do Estado Westfaliano que, por conseguinte, levou a criação do Estado-Nação. O estudo se baseou em pesquisa bibliográfica que permitiram expor as diferenças entre os dois Estados, assim como analisar o Estado que se faz presente na contemporaneidade e explicar que a afirmação da soberania estatal não está mais legitimada apenas por meio de sua territorialidade, mas também pela soberania popular na qual a busca por uma identidade nacional latino-americana, posteriormente, seria o estopim das ondas revolucionárias na região, legitimando seus processos de libertação e independência.

Abstract:
This study aims to expose the difference between the Westphalian state and the Nation-State. In the 18th century, with the changes and transformations in the international system, there is a breakdown of the Westphalian State, therefore, it led to the creation of the Nation-State. The study was based on bibliographic research that allowed exposing the differences between the two States, as well as analyzing the State that is present nowadays. Therefore, by analyzing the transition from the Westphalian State to the Nation-State is possible to explain that the assertion of state sovereignty is no longer legitimated only through their territoriality, but also by popular sovereignty, which the search for a Latin American national identity, later, would be the set-out of the revolutionary waves in the region, legitimizing their liberation and independence processes.
