ESPIRITUALIDADE NO ACOMPANHAMENTO PRÉ-NATAL: A IMPORTÂNCIA DESSA ABORDAGEM NA VISÃO DAS PACIENTES
A medicina é a ciência da prevenção, cura e tratamento das doenças do corpo humano. O papel de promoção da saúde, cujo conceito engloba o bem estar espiritual do indivíduo, também foi contemplado na área. Diversos teóricos relatam a importância de se integrar a religiosidade/espiritualidade (R/E) na prática clínica. Porém, grande parte dos profissionais não possui instrução para lidar com essas questões e poucos são os estudos relativos a tal abordagem durante e após o período gestacional. O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever a prevalência de puérperas que consideram importante a abordagem da espiritualidade durante o pré-natal. Além disso, traçar o perfil sociodemográfico e descrever se nessa população há associação entre gestação de alto risco e importância da R/E no período pré-natal. Foram entrevistadas 120 puérperas internadas no Alojamento Conjunto do Hospital Universitário (HU) de Canoas. Utilizou-se uma adaptação de instrumento validado por Mosqueira e cols (2019) sobre religiosidade/espiritualidade. Com relação aos dados de R/E, a maior parte praticava uma religião. Não foi percebida importância de que fosse abordada a R/E durante os atendimentos de pré-natal. Nos fatores citados que mais poderiam ajudá-las no puerpério, R/E ocupou o terceiro lugar em importância. Não houve associação entre a importância referida à abordagem da R/E no pré-natal dentre quem teve um pré-natal de alto risco/parto disfuncional (p = 0,16). Observou-se a mínima parte de toda a amostra teve contato com tal abordagem, indicando que a mesma não está sendo contemplada nos atendimentos de saúde. Assim, sugere-se novas investigações abordando o uso da espiritualidade frente ao puerpério.

Abstract:
Medicine is the science of prevention, healing and treatment of human body. It has acquired the role of promoting health, which concept includes the spiritual wellbeing of the individual. Theorists estimate that it is of big value to include religiosity and spirituality (R/E) in clinical practices. However, a significant amount of professionals working in this area do not have knowledge to deal with these matters and there are only a few studies regarding theses aspects during and after the pregnancy processes. The main goal of this study was to identify the prevalence of puerperal women who consider spirituality an important matter through the pre-birth process. Besides, it aims to identify the social and demographic profiles of this specific population and to describe if there is a relation between high-risk gestations and the importance of R/E in their pre-birth processes. 120 puerperal women who are hospitalized in Hospital Universitário of Canoas maternity were interviewed. Research tools previously used by other colleagues (MOSQUEIRO e cols, 2019) have been adapted and used in this study. Most of the respondents stated to have a religion. The importance of R/E was not pointed during the pre-birth contacts. Of the factors seen as helpful in puerperal processes, the R/E was pointed as third in levels of importance. There has not been a relation between the amount of importance of R/E in pre-birth among women who had high-risk pregnancy or dysfunctional labors (p = 0,16). It’s been possible to identify that a small amount of the whole sample had contact with R/E approaches, being able to identify that R/E has not been included in general health care. This study proposes new investigations regarding the use of spirituality in puerperal processes.
