Abstract: The transformations in childhood conceptions over recent decades have contributed to recognizing children as social, cultural, and historical subjects capable of actively participating in the construction of knowledge and educational experiences. In this context, the Pedagogy of Listening stands out as an approach that values children's voices and promotes pedagogical relationships based on dialogue, participation, and respect for the multiple forms of children's expression. This article aims to analyze how sensitive listening can contribute to the development of pedagogical practices that recognize children as active participants in educational processes within Early Childhood Education. This is a qualitative bibliographic study developed through the analysis of books, scientific articles, normative documents, and academic publications addressing the Pedagogy of Listening, children's participation, and contemporary conceptions of childhood. The study is mainly based on the contributions of Malaguzzi, Rinaldi, Kramer, Corsaro, Barbosa, Oliveira, and Vygotsky. The findings indicate that sensitive listening has the potential to transform pedagogical practices by encouraging children's participation, reshaping planning processes, valuing children's multiple languages, and promoting more meaningful learning experiences. However, challenges were also identified, including the persistence of adult-centered practices, institutional limitations, and the need for continuous teacher education. It is concluded that listening is a fundamental element in building a more democratic, participatory, and child-centered Early Childhood Education, strengthening children's protagonism in educational processes.
