ESCALADA EM ROCHA COMO MANIFESTAÇÃO CULTURAL DE LAZER EM MONTES CLAROS/MG
O estudo tem como objetivo analisar a escalada em rocha como manifestação cultural de esporte e lazer no município de Montes Claros – MG. Pretendemos georreferenciar via GPS (Global Positioning System) por coordenadas geográficas (Latitude, Longitude e Altitude) no formato DMS (Graus, Minutos e Segundos) os setores de escalada e investigar o perfil dos escaladores que realizam a prática de esporte e atividade de aventura no município. A amostra contou com 32 escaladores (20 do sexo masculino e 12 do sexo feminino), com idades entre 16 a 50 anos, das mais variadas profissões. Tratou-se de uma pesquisa de caráter qualitativo descritivo, com revisão bibliográfica sobre a temática, a fim de constituir um referencial teórico para as posteriores discussões. O instrumento de coleta de dados foi um questionário confeccionado a partir do Googledocs, com questões fechadas e abertas, para melhor captar a tradução individual dos participantes em relação à prática da escalada em rocha. A região possui grande potencial de vias, formações rochosas e possibilidades de aberturas de diversos setores de escalada. Destacamos ainda a crescente participação de adolescentes a adultos, criando laços através das atividades de aventura. A escalada em rocha não pode ser analisada somente pela ótica da prática do exercício em si, mas pelos aspectos, fatores, valores e significados que permeiam o envolvimento, pertencimento e permanencia do escalador na atividade de aventura, concluimos que a escalada em rocha pode ser considerada como uma manifestação cultural de esporte e lazer no município.

Abstract:
The study aims to analyze rock climbing as a cultural manifestation of sport and leisure in the city of Montes Claros - MG. We intend to geo-reference via GPS (Global Positioning System) by geographic coordinates (Latitude, Longitude and Altitude) in DMS format (Degrees, Minutes and Seconds) the climbing sectors and investigate the profile of climbers who practice sport and adventure activity in County. The sample included 32 climbers (20 male and 12 female), aged 16 to 50 years, from the most varied professions. It was a qualitative and descriptive research, with a bibliographic review on the theme, in order to constitute a theoretical framework for further discussions. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire made from Googledocs, with closed and open questions, to better capture the individual translation of the participants in relation to the practice of rock climbing. The region has great potential for roads, rock formations and possibilities for openings in various climbing sectors. We also highlight the growing participation of teenagers to adults, creating bonds through adventure activities. Rock climbing cannot be analyzed only from the perspective of the exercise itself, but by the aspects, factors, values and meanings that permeate the involvement, belonging and permanence of the climber in the adventure activity, we conclude that rock climbing can be considered as a cultural manifestation of sport and leisure in the municipality.
