ENVELHECIMENTO E GÊNERO: A feminização da velhice
Neste trabalho, buscaremos realizar
uma reflexão sobre o envelhecimento feminino
na sociedade brasileira, tendo por base o
envelhecimento de forma geral da população
em nosso País. Mediante revisão da literatura,
encontramos diversos estudos nacionais e
internacionais que abordam como os papéis
sociais de gênero se revelam no cotidiano
da vida dessas mulheres. Questionando a
dimensão subjetiva da mulher como ser frágil,
débil e intelectualmente inferior. Ao recusar o
destino feminino ao mundo privado.
