• Abstract: Introduction: With increasing longevity, it is essential to consider interventions aimed at improving the quality of life of elderly people with dementia. In this context, autonomy and independence become essential elements for healthy aging. Objectives: to analyze the existing literature on the performance of multidisciplinary teams in the context of aging and dementia, in order to provide support that facilitates clinical and care decision-making. Methodology: This is an integrative review, with the guiding question: “How effective is the performance of multidisciplinary teams in the context of aging and dementia as a support for clinical and care decision-making?” Data collection was carried out from April to May 2024 in the following databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Medline (Pubmed) and Google Scholar. Results: After applying the selection criteria, 10 studies were chosen that investigated the performance of multidisciplinary teams in the care of elderly people diagnosed with dementia. Conclusion: The work of the multidisciplinary team emerges as an important support for decision-making in the care of elderly people with dementia.
