ENVELHE (SENDO) EM INSTITUIÇÕES DE LONGA PERMANÊNCIA PARA IDOSOS
Sabe-se que a população idosa cresce significativamente e, com ela, somam-se os desafios a serem enfrentados no que diz respeito à saúde, economia, moradia, dentre outros. Paralelamente ao crescimento de idosos, nota-se um aumento das Instituições de Longa Permanência, as quais se prestam a ofertar à eles, um cuidado específico. Vê-se avanços expressivos no que diz respeito às legislações que conferem direitos e deveres aos idosos, no entanto, percebe-se que, os idosos mais vulneráveis, àqueles desprovidos de cuidado familiar e/ou moradia própria, vivenciam uma qualidade de vida prejudicada em termos de bem estar individual e coletivo. Investir nas políticas públicas e legislações que amparam o funcionamento das Instituições de Longa Permanência para Idosos faz-se necessário para garantia de um local digno de cuidado.

Abstract:
It is known that the elderly population grows significantly and, with it, add up to the challenges to be faced with regard to health, economy, housing, among others. Parallel to the growth of the elderly, there is an increase in long-stay institutions, which lend themselves to offering them specific care. There are significant advances with regard to legislation that confer rights and duties to the elderly, however, it is clear that the most vulnerable elderly people, those without family care and/or their own housing, experience an impaired quality of life in terms of individual and collective well-being. Investing in public policies and legislation that support the operation of Long Stay Institutions for the Elderly is necessary to guarantee a place worthy of care.
