ENTRÓPIO EM CÃO – RELATO DE CASO
Éntrópio é a inversão da pálpebra, podendo acometer a pálpebra superior e a inferior e ser uni ou bilateral. Se não tratado, repercute em perda da acuidade visual e/ou atrofia ocular. Neovascularização, epífora, edema e ulcerações na córnea são alguns dos sintomas desta afecção. A resolução do entrópio é cirúrgica e a seleção da técnica mais adequada varia de acordo com a severidade da inversão. O objetivo deste trabalho é relatar um caso de entrópio bilateral, das pálpebras superior e inferior em um cão, e sua correção utilizando a blefaroplastia, a fim de contribuir para a literatura e discutir à cerca do problema. Foi atendido no Hospital Veterinário da Universidade Federal de Goiás, Regional Jataí (HV/UFG-REJ) um cão macho da raça Chow Chow, com dois anos de idade apresentando entrópio bilateral. Realizou-se blefaroplastia bilateral nas pálpebras inferiores e superiores através da técnica de Hotz-Celsus modificada. O paciente apresentou boa resposta ao tratamento cirúrgico proposto, observando-se completa remissão dos sinais clínicos. A supercorreção ou subcorreção são situações comuns neste tipo de procedimento, entretanto, sua execução por profissional especializado em oftalmologia reflete maiores chances de sucesso, como no presente trabalho.

Abstract:
Entropion is the eyelid inversion, which can affect the upper and lower eyelids and be uni or bilateral. If left untreated, it results in loss of visual acuity and/or eye atrophy. Neovascularization, epiphora, edema and cornea ulcerations are some of the symptoms of this condition. The entropion resolution is surgical and the selection of the most appropriate technique varies according to the severity of the inversion. The objective of this work is to report a case of bilateral entropion, of the upper and lower eyelids in a dog, and its correction using blepharoplasty, in order to contribute to the literature and discuss the problem. At the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal University of Goiás, Jataí Regional (HV / UFG-REJ), a two-year-old male dog of the Chow Chow breed presenting bilateral entropion was assisted. Bilateral blepharoplasty was performed on the lower and upper eyelids using the modified Hotz-Celsus technique. The patient responded well to the proposed surgical treatment, observing complete remission of clinical signs. Overcorrection or undercorrection are common situations in this type of procedure, however, its execution by a specialized professional in ophthalmology reflects greater chances of success, as shown in the present study.
