Abstract: Inclusive education has become one of the main challenges and commitments of contemporary educational systems, requiring pedagogical practices capable of recognizing and valuing the diversity present in school environments. In this context, the Specialized Educational Service Plan (PAEE), also referred to in some educational systems as the Individualized Education Plan (IEP), stands out as an important pedagogical tool for planning, monitoring, and evaluating the learning process of students who require specific educational support. This article aims to reflect on the importance of the PAEE/IEP as a pedagogical instrument for promoting school inclusion and supporting the development of students with specific educational needs. This study is characterized as a qualitative bibliographic research based on books, scientific articles, official documents, and educational legislation related to Inclusive Education and Specialized Educational Services. The discussion highlights that the PAEE/IEP goes beyond a merely bureaucratic function, serving as a pedagogical mediation tool capable of guiding individualized interventions, curriculum adaptations, and continuous assessment processes. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the importance of collaborative work among teachers, specialized professionals, school management, and families in the development and implementation of the plan. It is concluded that the PAEE/IEP contributes significantly to the construction of inclusive educational pathways, promoting accessibility, participation, autonomy, and meaningful learning, while strengthening the right of all students to quality education.
