Abstract: This article discusses the connections between parenting, social networks, and the formation of masculinity in adolescence, considering the subjective effects of narcissism in contemporary society. It is a qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory bibliographic study based on recent scientific publications (2015–2025) available in databases such as SciELO, PePSIC, and Google Scholar. The analyses indicate that social networks function as digital mirrors, offering models of recognition and validation that reinforce ideals of performance, success, and virility. These patterns, while fostering a sense of belonging, also intensify identity conflicts and weaken the adolescent self. Parenting, in turn, emerges as a structuring element: consistent emotional bonds and nurturing parental practices contribute to a more integrated psychic development, whereas absence or rigidity in family relationships amplify narcissistic vulnerability. It is concluded that the formation of juvenile masculinity is immersed in a field of tension between the parental gaze and the imagetic pressures of digital networks, highlighting the need for critical reflection on new forms of subjectivation in digital culture.
