Abstract: In this study, we analyze narratives related to a course on the schooling of adventures offered at a scientific event in the field of leisure in 2024. Adventure is essential for awakening emotions, sensations, and learning; however, it is crucial to have an appropriate teaching methodological approach to avoid risks—in other words, to teach about controlled risk. As methodological procedures, we conducted an exploratory investigation based on the analysis of three narratives about experiences in the course: one from the course instructor and two from participants. This is a qualitative study. The findings indicate that the narratives present elements pointing to the principles of a teaching methodology focused on controlled risk, and the experiences prove to be an effective way to engage individuals in learning body techniques and decision-making.
