Abstract: In this work, motivated by the diagnosis given by an external evaluation, which signaled that our students do not have a well-developed logical reasoning ability to solve problems, we made a case study with the 5th year of Elementary School, with the objective of verifying whether there would be improvement if such content were taught during classes. To achieve this goal, at first a questionnaire containing some questions and a sudoku game was applied so that the students could do as they knew, only in hearing about the rules, without explaining them, however, they did not obtain a good result. Subsequently, they took classes on logical reasoning and played again, using the Sudoku puzzle showing a significant improvement in the results. Which leads us to believe that, if logical reasoning is well worked out in the classroom, students will be able to develop this skill significantly.
