Abstract: This work aimed to insert mathematics and statistics in an applied way into the daily lives of students in the Mundiar project of the state public education network and the ability to apply mathematical-statistical concepts in the social environment in which the students find themselves to bring them a better understanding of their social context in which they live, using a questionnaire with simple questions about the place where they live, what their mechanisms of access to information are and others aimed at getting to know the interviewees better, where the place and application took place in the school itself with the students present. With a previous approach on some statistical concepts and properties such as graphical analysis, percentage and measures of central tendency, it was possible to verify and evaluate these results and thus draw notes on the results obtained with the questionnaire in a quantitative and qualitative way. Finally, they were able to obtain a more critical and applied view of their social environment using statistical resources.
