Abstract: Female entrepreneurship has gained prominence as a strategy for economic inclusion and gender equity promotion, especially in contexts of social vulnerability. However, the path of women entrepreneurs is still marked by several structural, cultural, and institutional obstacles. This article aimed to analyze the main challenges faced by women in Brazilian entrepreneurship and to understand the factors that influence their profile and the existing support mechanisms. This is a qualitative, descriptive research based on a literature review. Sources were selected from academic and institutional databases, focusing on the period between 2020 and 2025. The results showed that Brazilian women entrepreneurs face credit access difficulties, perform multiple roles, mostly work in informal sectors, and are often driven by necessity. Moreover, public policies and training programs play a fundamental role in overcoming inequalities and building support and visibility networks.
