Abstract: The objective of this work is to analyze the empowerment of women in the Sembrando Vida program, using an approach from Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) that highlights the transformation process of geder dynamics in rural contexts. The main contributions and barries limiting their performance are identified through a case study of the community of Sola de Vega, Oaxaca. The predominant approach of the research is qualitative, based on the report of a gender-perspective workshop, semi-strutured interviews, and participatory observation. Additionally, factors such as economic and social autonomy, roles within the community and household, and the challenges women face within the SSE dynamic are examined. Despite the persistent gender challenges, the main findings of the research show that the Sembrando Vida program has strengthened women´s economic and social autonomy, fostering resource generation and participation in community decisión-making. Among the women producers interviewed, 85% reported having achieved greater financial Independence; likewise, 92% stated that they feel more confident expressing their opinions in public.
