ELEMENTOS ESPACIAIS E CENTRALIDADE PERIFÉRICA - O CASO DE TEFÉ NO AMAZONAS
Este artigo busca analisar a
centralidade urbana a partir dos elementos
espaciais disponíveis em uma cidade com
limitados meios de produção e potencialidades
intrínsecas. A cidade de Tefé, maior centro
urbano da região do Médio Solimões no
estado do Amazonas é a área de estudo para
esta pesquisa. O estudo das centralidades
institucional (subdividida em institucional
administrativa e infraestruturas institucionais),
comercial e demográfica permitiu discernir a
amplitude territorial de atuação das relações
e, por conseguinte, a circunscrição regional
formada pelas atividades pertinentes aos
elementos espaciais de Tefé. A metodologia
deste estudo fundamentou-se na pesquisa
bibliográfica, entrevistas e no trabalho
de campo para o levantamento de dados
primários e secundários assim como o uso
de informações institucionais. Concluiuse
que as funcionalidades da centralidade
de Tefé a configuram como um centro de
serviços, comércio e assistência institucional
às populações deste subespaço amazônida. A
sua potencialidade intrínseca econômica está
baseada nos elementos espaciais que geram
os fluxos associados a esta centralidade no
Solimões.

Abstract:
This article seeks to analyze the
urban center from the spatial elements available
in a city with limited means of production and
intrinsic potentialities. The city of Tefé, the
largest urban center in the Middle Solimões
region in the state of Amazonas is the area of
study for this research. The study of institutional
centralities (subdivided into administrative
institutional and institutional infrastructure),
commercial and demographic allowed discern
the territorial scope of action of the relationship
and therefore the regional constituency formed
by the activities related to spatial elements of
Tefé. The methodology of this study was based
on the bibliographic review, interviews and field
work for the survey of primary and secondary
data as well as the use of institutional information.
It was concluded that the functionality of the
centrality of the Tefé configured as a center for
services, trade and institutional assistance to the
people of this subspace Amazonian. Its intrinsic
economic potentialities is based on spatial
elements that generate the flows associated
with this centrality in the Solimões.
