Abstract: The talent retention has become a promising strategy, capable of providing companies with relevant results in their profits and time savings, as well as quality in the reliability of their brands and improvement in the organizational climate of a organization. This work addresses how this strategy influences a company. It tried to focus on its forms and characteristics, main concepts, how they actually benefit the organizational environment and their main difficulties. The research method adopted was an integrative bibliographic review of the literature, based on searches in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases, resulting in an analysis of concepts and results from studies in 12 scientific articles.The literature review indicated that talent retention proves to be an excellent ally for a good organizational culture and generating profits for companies, as well as other benefits. Analyzing this subject helped to better understand and visualize how talent retention works, in which it was possible to thoroughly analyze its characteristics, how they influence organizational results, as well as its main results and obstacles.
