EL VALLE INFERIOR DEL RÍO CHUBUT (CHUBUT, ARGENTINA) COMO TERRITORIO Y ESPACIO PARA EL DESARROLLO TURÍSTICO
El presente trabajo expone una síntesis del informe final de la Investigación denominado “Potencialidad Socio Económica del Desarrollo del Turismo en el Valle Inferior del Rio Chubut (VIRCH), desde Boca Toma hasta su desembocadura”, elaborado en el ámbito de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas de la Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia, Provincia del Chubut, R. Argentina, entre los años 2014 y 2017. En el tramo inferior de la cuenca, este río recorre un área productiva con múltiples manifestaciones que contribuyen al desarrollo del turismo de naturaleza, cultural, histórico, paleontológico, etc.
Entre los objetivos del trabajo se propuso contextualizar territorial e históricamente las tensiones que se han presentado en los territorios rurales de esta Comarca e indagar en el rol que cumple el desarrollo turístico tanto en la profundización como en la atenuación de las mismas.
Del relevamiento realizado surge la existencia de un gran número de atractivos y recursos turísticos como también de oportunidades deportivas y recreativas, que permitirían articular una oferta integrada en un conjunto de prestaciones o circuitos. Estos elementos, unidos a la oferta de servicios, comunicaciones y conectividad existentes en la región, representan un entramado complejo, aunque no suficientemente organizado como para consolidar una afluencia de visitantes tal que permita la sustentabilidad económica de los emprendedores y del territorio en su conjunto.

Abstract:
This work presents a summary of the final report of the investigation called “Potencialidad Socio Económica del Desarrollo del Turismo en el Valle Inferior del Rio Chubut (VIRCH), from Boca Toma until its mouth”, prepared within the scope of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Patagonia, Province of Chubut, R. Argentina, between the years 2014 and 2017. In the lower stretch of the river basin, this river runs through a productive area with multiple manifestations that contribute to the development of natural, cultural tourism , historical, paleontological, etc.
Among the objectives of the work, I propose to contextualize territorially and historically the tensions that have been presented in the rural territories of this Region and to investigate the role that the tourist development fulfills, both in the depth and in the attenuation of the mismas.
From the survey carried out, the existence of a large number of tourist attractions and resources emerges, as well as sporting and recreational opportunities, which would make it possible to articulate an integrated offer in a set of services or circuits. These elements, together with the offer of services, communications and connectivity existing in the region, represent a complex framework, although not sufficiently organized to consolidate an influx of visitors that allows the economic sustainability of entrepreneurs and the territory as a whole. -
