Abstract: The objective of this work was to determine the Cr (VI) removal capacity of sugar cane husk biomass, finding that 10 g of the biomass analyzed removes 100 % of the metal after 72 hours, pH 1.0, 28oC and 100 rpm, while at higher temperatures the removal is greater, since 100% of the contaminant is removed after 2 hours at 60°C, and if the metal concentration is increased (200-1000 mg/L), there are no significant differences in the removal of the same, although it is more efficient at 60°C. If the concentration of the bioadsorbent is increased, the removal of the metal increases. Finally, 10 g of biomass removal 100% of the metal present in soil (100 mg/g) and water (100 mg/L) contaminated naturally, in 4 and 12 days of incubation to 28°C.
