Abstract: Empowerment is defined as the ability of women to develop a positive self-image and confidence in their capacities to transform family relationships and, collectively, to build strong organizational structures in order to achieve social and political change. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Sembrando Vida Program (PSV) on the empowerment of women producers in the municipality of Santo Domingo Tehuantepec, Oaxaca, Mexico. The analysis focuses on the dimension of internal power, which will be assessed through the following indicators: internal autonomy, economic autonomy, land ownership and access to services, ownership of land and animals, control and use of income, relationship with partner and family, use of time, public sphere participation, confidence in navigating organizations, confidence in participating in the PSV, and organizational strengthening. To evaluate this variable, eight women producers were surveyed—four from the community of Rincón Moreno and four from Las Cruces. The results show a positive impact of the PSV on women's empowerment in the public sphere, in institutional strengthening, and in building confidence to navigate the program. However, limitations were identified in terms of internal autonomy, economic autonomy, relationship with partner and family, and access to credit.
