Abstract: The motivation to carry out the research arose during the commemoration of the XXV anniversary of the National Center for Disciplinary Research in Conservation and Improvement of Forest Ecosystems (Cenid Comef) of the National Center of the National Institute of Forestry, Agriculture and Livestock Research (INIFAP) as an aid for decision makers of the center by providing evidence for the allocation of all types of resources. The Geomatics research program has been part of its organizational structure since the founding of the Cenid Comef, however, at that beginning, its scientific contributions were scarce and it was not until the last 12 years that its presented considerable growth that placed is as the main research program of the afore mentioned center. The objective of the work was to carry out a compilation and synthesis of the research program in Geomatics (state of the art) developed at the Cenid Comef of the INIFAP for the period 1994-2020. The methodology that was used was of a documentary, which consist of two large phases: the heuristic that covers the documentary search pertinent to the subject, its organization and capture and the hermeneutics that includes its relationship with the environment, its analysis and interpretation, trend and evolution of the results research items. The variables that were selected were: books, book chapters, scientific articles, generated technologies and brochures. The most representative geographic coverage was national, the subsector with most contributions was forestry, and the main topic was spatial modeling. The largest number of deliverables were scientific articles. The development trend of Geomatics trend has a marked positive slope in the last 12 years.
