Abstract: One of the most relevant elements of the new educational model for basic education is undoubtedly the territorial connotation, the analysis of the context, of the places, this vision has -from our point of view- several advantages for the application of knowledge, but what about this approach in vocational training?, Are there territorial elements in university legislation that guarantee the design and implementation of university programs conducive to promoting local-regional development? In view of these concerns, the objective of this document is to analyze the current university legislation, based on elements of territoriality, which guarantee the promotion of local-regional development in university education.
