Abstract: Generative Artificial Intelligence has had significant growth in all areas, including education, where its access and use is widely available. Currently, the only limitation to its accessibility is having a device connected to the internet, which makes it an affordable tool for teachers and students. This research highlights the importance of teachers understanding how to effectively integrate GenAI to foster key skills in students, particularly the development of critical thinking, an essential skill in modern education. Through this research, a detailed analysis was carried out through systematic mapping to identify the teaching strategies applied for the development of critical thinking using generative artificial intelligence. Four search engines were considered and the results obtained provide a comprehensive view of the current state of effectively implemented strategies, offering a solid foundation for future research. In addition, it provides clear knowledge for the application of innovative pedagogical practices in education.
