Abstract: In these spaces, an exhibition of the elements for the international contextualization of the development of socio-emotional skills in students is carried out, considering the case of basic education. The data derived from such contextualization worldwide show the importance of socio-emotional development in education. Thus, promoting the development of socio-emotional skills in students not only contributes to their well-being, but also has a positive impact on their academic performance and the school environment. Therefore, it is essential that educational systems consider the implementation of programs and strategies that promote the socio-emotional development of students.
