EL CÓMIC, UN INSTRUMENTO DIDÁCTICO EN EL AULA DE TRADUCCIÓN GENERAL (ALEMÁN-ESPAÑOL)
Com esta contribuição pretendemos mostrar o interesse na utilização da comics como instrumento didático para as aulas de tradução geral alemão-espanhol no âmbito da Licenciatura de Tradução e Interpretação da Universidade de Alicante, nomeadamente como meio de ensino das diferenças culturais entre as diferentes línguas e aspectos-chave desta classe textual específica, como onomatopeias e interjeições. Como objeto de tradução, o comic faria parte da tradução expressiva ou criativa, bem como a tradução literária, e, dentro dela, a chamada tradução subordinada, isto é, aquela que possui forte dependência entre o texto e outro elemento extralinguístico, no caso, a imagem e também o chamado "balâo de desenho" no qual o texto está inserido, cujo tamanho também é um fator determinante da tradução. Assim, na nossa disciplina „Tradução Direta Geral Alemão-Espanhol B-AI“, que é ministrada no segundo semestre do primeiro ano da Licenciatura em Tradução e Interpretação e, portanto, dirigida a futuros tradutores com pouca experiência prévia como tal, trabalhámos inicialmente com fragmentos de comic ou banda desenhada, alguns tão conhecidos como os já clássicos personagens do Spiderman ou Asterix, cuja popularidade torna mais fácil despertar o interesse dos estudantes por questões complexas da ciência da tradução e do campo profissional da tradução.

Abstract:
The aim of this contribution is to show the interest of the use of comics as a didactical instrument for general German-Spanish translation classes in the Degree of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Alicante, especially as a tool to teach the cultural differences between different languages and also key-aspects of this specific textual class such as onomatopoeia and interjections. As object of translation, the comic would be part of the expressive or creative translation, as literary translation does. More specifically, would be part of the so-called subordinate translation, that is, the one that shows a strong dependence between the text and other extralinguistic element. This element in this case would be both the image and the so-called “speech bubbles” in which the text is inserted, whose size is also an important factor of the translation. Thus, in our subject „General direct German-Spanish translation B-AI“, which is taught in the second semester of the first year of the Degree in Translation and Interpreting -intended then to future translators with little prior experience-, we initially worked with fragments well-known comics as the Spiderman or Asterix classic characters, whose popularity makes it easier to arouse interest among students either in complex issues of translation science and the professional field of translation.
