Abstract: The objective of this research was to analyze the importance and relevance of bioethics as a training resource in public institutions of upper secondary level, in the field of environmental education, taking as background the scarce integration of environmental issues in the curricular framework and the subject programs, at this educational level. The methodology corresponds to the qualitative approach, documentary review on bioethics and curricular analysis on the recovery and reflection of environmental problems in the subjects of the study plan of the College of Sciences and Humanities of the UNAM. In addition to semi-structured interviews with teachers of different subjects, having as axis the feasibility of teaching Environmental Education from bioethics in the curriculum. It concludes with the identification of the integration of this educational content from the trend of mainstreaming and its fields of action, with the purpose of contributing to the comprehensive training of students, addressing care and attention to the environment not only as isolated knowledge, but as praxis with an ethical and respectful sense towards the life of everything that coexists with the human being.
