Abstract: Introduction: Pelvic floor training stands out among the conservative methods of physiotherapy to treat urinary incontinence (UI), which according to the International Continence Society (ICS) is the involuntary loss of urine, known as a disorder that impacts the quality of life of the patients. The objective was to demonstrate the effect of therapeutic pelvic floor exercise in women with stress urinary incontinence. Methods: a retrospective study of 20 women with SUI (stress urinary incontinence), who were assessed with two instruments, the PERFECT method that evaluates pelvic floor strength and the severity of incontinence with the Sandvik test before and after the treatment. Tabulated in the SPSS program. Results: Oxford_1 obtained a Student's t value of 12.46 while Oxford_2 obtained a value of 39.23. In the mean difference we found in Oxford_1 it was 1.40 compared to Oxford_2 it was 4.50, therefore, the increase in muscle strength is verified; On the other hand, in the Sandvik severity index, we observed a Student's t value of 12.67 in Sandvik_1 compared to 2.85 in Sandvik_2; In the mean difference it was 6,700 in Sandvik_1 and in Sandvik_2 it was 600; Observing a decrease in the degree of incontinence. Conclusion: the exercise applied to the pelvic musculature increases the level of force, generating a change in the degree of SUI from severe to mild and from moderate to continent.
