Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has generated adversity in the most diverse segments of society, and the last few years have been challenging for the Brazilian economy. In this important scenario, it is possible to verify the behavior of relevant sectors, such as agribusiness and, more specifically, agriculture and animal husbandry. Therefore, the objective of this research was to evaluate the efficiency of agriculture in Paraná, from 2019 to 2021. For that, the DEA BCC model input orientation was used. The results showed that in the first year of the pandemic, 2020, there was an increase in inefficiency, with a greater number of regions classified as inefficient, in addition to a lower efficiency score compared to 2019. In 2021, the results pointed to the recovery of the sector, in terms of better efficiency, by having a higher average efficiency score, in addition to an increase in the number of regions classified as efficient, compared to the previous two years. Therefore, the results obtained suggest that, in the context of the pandemic, in Paraná agriculture and animal husbandry, an attempt was made to improve the use of productive resources.
