Abstract: This study examined the performance of cannabidiol (CBD) as an adjunctive medication in the treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy. Based on the comparison of a base text with 25 recent scientific articles, consistent evidence was found supporting CBD’s effectiveness in reducing seizure frequency and intensity, especially in specific syndromes such as Dravet, LennoxGastaut, and tuberous sclerosis complex. Studies reported improvements in quality of life, behavioral adaptation, and long-term safety. Moreover, high tolerability was observed, even among pediatric populations. The analysis also emphasized the importance of individualized monitoring and responsible prescription. In conclusion, CBD represents a promising and safe therapeutic alternative, with growing clinical application.
