Abstract: Cardiometabolic diseases have common and modifiable risk factors that are potentiated by socioeconomic, cultural and environmental conditioning factors. Lifestyle education interventions using flipcharts are often as effective as drug treatment. The present study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a flip chart for promoting the health of people with cardiometabolic diseases. This is a quasi-experimental study. This study included 15 people with active cardiometabolic diseases in the HIPERDIA program at the aforementioned UBS; over the age of 18, of both sexes. Data collection was carried out using a structured instrument divided into three parts: Socio-demographic and clinical data; lifestyle assessment and knowledge test about cardiometabolic diseases. After acceptance, the participant was invited to a private room where the educational intervention was applied. Each intervention was carried out individually and lasted, on average, 35 minutes. Regarding the profile, eight were male and seven were female aged between 18 and 80 years. Most were brown, married, Catholic, economically active and had completed elementary school. Arterial hypertension was the predominant comorbidity. Regarding physical activities, most walk at least once a week. Low levels of knowledge on topics sleep and rest, adherence to physical activity were identified. After the educational intervention, there was an improvement in knowledge about healthy lifestyle habits such as food, increased water intake, weight control, stress, smoking cessation, alcoholism and follow-up with the health team. It is suggested that other studies be carried out with a larger sample size, longitudinally and using other educational technologies in order to compare the effectiveness of this educational moment in the long term.
