EFEITOS PRÁTICOS DA RATIFICAÇÃO DA CONVENÇÃO Nº 182 DA OIT NO BRASIL E EM PORTUGAL
O presente estudo visa a traçar uma breve exposição dos efeitos práticos da ratificação da convenção nº 182 da OIT (Organização Internacional do Trabalho) que versa sobre erradicação do trabalho infantil. Dentre os países signatários da convenção, pretendemos estudar as consequências internas nos dois países analisados – Brasil e Portugal - apontando suas conquistas, suas deficiências e metas para cumprimento do pactuado. Tratando-se de importante instrumento para garantia dos direitos sociais das crianças, a convenção proposta por organismo internacional se reveste de diretriz fundamental para a consecução de um dos grandes objetivos da humanidade: cuidar do futuro da sociedade. Apesar de parecer deveras óbvio que as crianças devem ter seus direitos sociais resguardados, ainda é absolutamente necessário tutelar o interesse das pessoas menores de 18 anos, com o objetivo de evoluir para uma sociedade mais justa e fraterna.

Abstract:
The present study aims to give a brief account of the practical effects of the ratification of ILO (International Labor Organization) Convention nº 182 concerning the elimination of child labor. Among the signatory countries of the convention, we intend to study the internal consequences in the two countries analyzed - Brazil and Portugal - pointing out their achievements, their deficiencies and goals to fulfill the agreement. As an important instrument for guaranteeing the social rights of children, the convention proposed by the international body is a fundamental guideline for the achievement of one of the great objectives of humankind: to take care of the future of society. Although it seems quite obvious that children should have their social rights protected, it is still absolutely necessary to protect the interest of people under 18 years, with the goal of evolving into a more just and fraternal society.
