EFEITOS DO FORMALDEÍDO SOBRE O APARELHO REPRODUTOR MASCULINO E FEMININO E NO DESENVOLVIMENTO EMBRIONÁRIO E FETAL DE RATOS WISTAR
Devido aos efeitos tóxicos causados pelo formaldeído e a sua ampla utilização, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo, analisar os efeitos do formaldeído no aparelho reprodutor masculino, feminino e no desenvolvimento embrionário e fetal de ratos Wistar. Foram utilizados 16 ratos Wistar machos e 16 ratas prenhas, distribuídos em 2 grupos com 8 animais cada grupo de fêmeas e machos. Os grupos de tratamentos ficaram expostos ao formaldeído a 10%, que ocorreu através de um nebulizador ultrassônico acoplado uma câmara de inalação e um grupo controle exposto ao ar ambiente. As exposições no grupo dos animais machos tiveram duração de 10min. diariamente, durante 56 dias, e nas prenhas as exposições tiveram duração de 15 minutos diários durante 21 dias. Após esses períodos os animais foram eutanasiados com doses elevadas de anestésico, para coleta dos órgãos do aparelho reprodutor masculino e nas fêmeas a prole foi pesada e medida, e as inalações cessadas, até o final da amamentação. Ao término do desmame (21 dias após o nascimento), os filhotes foram pesados e medidos novamente e, em seguida, eutanasiados. A pesquisa foi aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa e Experimentação Animal conforme os protocolos de nº 283/2017 e 307/18. De acordo com os resultados obtidos observou-se alterações na prole, na ingestão hídrica e alimentar no grupo exposto ao formaldeído, assim como os tubos seminíferos apresentaram-se diminuídos e áreas com alterações nas células da linhagem espermatogênica, uma descamação das células germinativas para o lúmen tubular, o espaço intertubular apresentou-se aumentado, porém com escasso tecido intertubular.

Abstract:
Due to the toxic effects caused by formaldehyde and its wide use, this research aimed to analyze the effects of formaldehyde on the male and female reproductive system and on the embryonic and fetal development of Wistar rats. 16 male Wistar rats and 16 pregnant rats were used, distributed in 2 groups with 8 animals each group of females and males. The treatment groups were exposed to 10% formaldehyde, which occurred through an ultrasonic nebulizer coupled to an inhalation chamber and a control group exposed to ambient air. The exposures in the male animals group lasted 10 minutes. daily, for 56 days, and on pregnant women, exposures lasted 15 minutes daily for 21 days. After these periods, the animals were euthanized with high doses of anesthetic to collect the organs of the male reproductive system and in the females the offspring were weighed and measured, and the inhalations ceased, until the end of breastfeeding. At the end of weaning (21 days after birth), the pups were weighed and measured again and then euthanized. The research was approved by the Animal Research and Experimentation Ethics Committee according to protocols 283/2017 and 307/18. According to the results obtained, changes in the offspring, water and food intake were observed in the group exposed to formaldehyde, as well as the seminiferous tubes were reduced and areas with changes in the cells of the spermatogenic lineage, a peeling of the germ cells for the tubular lumen, the intertubular space was increased, but with little intertubular tissue.
