Abstract: Objective: To correlate the results obtained through the assessment of the symptoms of patients in palliative care with physiotherapeutic conduct, to outline the sociodemographic and clinical profile of patients in Palliative Care and to outline the role of the physiotherapist in palliative care. Methods: This is an observational, analytical, prospective cohort study carried out at the Hospital Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Vitória. The study consisted of 22 patients between 20 and 85 years old under Palliative Care. The selection was made according to pre-established inclusion and exclusion criteria. The patients' sociodemographic profile was collected from the electronic medical record, and symptoms were assessed using the ESAS Scale. The descriptive analysis of the data found in the sample was carried out using mean and standard deviation. Results: It was noticed that there was an improvement in the symptoms of pain, drowsiness, anxiety, depression, well-being, shortness of breath, tiredness and other problems according to the ESAS scale and that the majority of the patients' profile was female, with marital status of married or single, who lived in Cariacica or Viana and who used Morphine. Conclusion: The application of an exercise protocol generated results that prove that physiotherapy in patients in Palliative Care was effective in relieving symptoms and improving the quality of life of these individuals. This study had financial support from the Institutional Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBIC-EMESCAM).
