EFEITO DO TRATAMENTO DA AURICULOTERAPIA NA PERCEPÇÃO DE PACIENTES COM CERVICALGIA CRÔNICA
A cervicalgia é uma causa comum
de dor na população em geral, com prevalência
de 10% a 15%, acometendo cerca de 67% a
70% de indivíduos adultos em algum momento
de sua vida. A auriculoterapia é o microssistema
mais usado da acupuntura, por possuir grande
resposta terapêutica. Sendo assim esta
pesquisa teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito
do tratamento da auriculoterapia na percepção
de pacientes com cervicalgia. Os participantes
preencheram 4 instrumentos de coleta de
dados, sobre o perfil sócio demográfico,
conhecimento sobre as Práticas Integrativas
(PIC`s), Qualidade de vida (SF-36) e o Índice
de incapacidade cervical pelo – Índice Oswestry
2.0. Após isso, foram realizadas 5 sessões de
auriculoterapia e novamente preenchido os
instrumentos de Qualidade de vida (SF-36) e
o Índice Oswestry 2.0. Com base nos dados
coletados e observados, foi possível perceber
que houve uma significativa diminuição da
incapacidade quando comparado com os
dados antes e após do tratamento. Antes do
tratamento 70% dos participantes alegaram
que a dor o incapacitava de forma moderada,
e 30% de forma intensa. Após o tratamento
60% dos participantes disseram que sua incapacidade era mínima e 40% com
incapacidade moderada. Assim, com base na pesquisa realizada, observou-se que o
tratamento da cervicalgia, com os diferentes métodos utilizados, mostrou-se bastante
eficaz, melhorando a qualidade de vida desses pacientes e com isso aumentando o
conhecimento sobre a técnica chinesa.

Abstract:
Neck pain is a common cause of pain in the general population, with a
prevalence of 10% to 15%, affecting about 67% to 70% of adult individuals at some
point in their life. Auriculotherapy is the most widely used microsystem of acupuncture
because of its great therapeutic response. Therefore, the aim of this research was
to evaluate the effect of auriculotherapy treatment on the perception of patients with
neck pain. Participants completed 4 data collection instruments on socio-demographic
profile, knowledge on Integrative Practices (PIC`s), Quality of Life (SF-36) and Cervical
Disability Index by the Oswestry Index 2.0. After 5 auriculotherapy sessions, the Quality
of Life instruments (SF-36) and the Oswestry Index 2.0 were completed. Data were
tabulated in Excel spreadsheet and analyzed. The results showed that there was a
significant decrease in disability when compared with data before and after treatment.
Before treatment 70% of participants claimed that the pain was moderately disabling,
and 30% severe. After treatment 60% of participants said their disability was minimal
and 40% with moderate disability. Thus, based on the research, it was observed that
the treatment of neck pain, with the different methods used, proved to be very effective,
improving the quality of life of these patients and thereby increasing the knowledge
about the chinese technique.
