Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate the management of fertilization via seed treatment on the initial performance of soybean plants. The research was conducted in the county of Mineiros, using a randomized block design consisting of 5 blocks and 8 different treatments with products containing various sources of micronutrients. One of the treatments served as the control, in which no seed treatment was applied. The treatments were as follows: T1 – seed treatment (ST) with Vital + ZMC; T2 – ST with Vital + Vigora; T3 – ST with Vital + Nutre Boro; T4 – Control, with no ST; T5 – ST with all tested products (Vital + ZMC + Vigora + Nutre Boro + Icon Cooper); T6 – ST with Nutre ZMC; T7 – ST with Nutre Boro; and T8 – ST with Nutre Boro + Icon Cooper. The variables analyzed were plant height, stem diameter, chlorophyll index a, b, and total chlorophyll, and shoot dry mass. The means were subjected to analysis of variance. The results showed that seed treatment affects the initial performance of soybean plants, with shoot dry mass being increased with treatment 2 and lowest with treatment 7. Chlorophyll content was also influenced by the different seed treatments, with the highest chlorophyll A content found in treatment 8 and the lowest in treatment 6.
