EFEITO DA VARIAÇÃO DO VALOR DA DENSIDADE LATERAL RELACIONADA À SEPARAÇÃO GEOIDE-QUASEGEOIDE NA REGIÃO DE PORTO ALEGRE RS – ESTUDO DE CASO
A complexidade e dinâmica
estrutural da terra, bem como o estado da
arte tecnológico, induzem a comunidade
geodésica a empregar simplificações em seus
modelos científicos almejando desta forma
permitir sua aplicação prática. No contexto do
estudo da gravidade uma das mais importantes
simplificações diz respeito ao emprego de um
valor médio para a densidade das massas
topográficas. Nesse sentido o presente trabalho
busca apresentar o efeito da variação do valor
da densidade lateral relacionada à separação
geoide-quasegeoide. O ponto chave deste
estudo foi a elaboração de um mapa de
densidades a partir do mapeamento geológico
realizado pela CPRM na região do município de
Porto Alegre, RS, Brasil. O mapa de densidades
compilado associado ao MDA construído a
partir de altitudes obtidas pelo SRTM permitiu
a confecção de um mapa representativo do
efeito da variação das densidades sobre a
separação geoide-quasegeoide. Os resultados
apresentam valores para a separação geoidequasegeoide na ordem dos milímetros para a
região em estudo, sugerindo novos estudos e
consideração futura em trabalhos técnicos e
científicos

Abstract:
The complexity and structural
dynamics of the Earth, as well as the state of the
art technology, induce the geodetic community
to employ simplifications in their scientific
models aiming in this way to allow your practical
application. In the context of the study of gravity
is one of the most important simplifications with
respect to the use of an average value for the
density of topographic masses. In this sense,
this paper seeks to present the effect of the
change in the value of the lateral density related
geoid-quasigeoid separation. The key point of
this study was to develop a map of densities
from geological mapping conducted by CPRM in
the municipality of Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil. The
compiled densities map associated with the DHM
constructed from heights obtained by SRTM
allowed the preparation of a representative map
of the effect of the variation of the density on
the separation of geoid-quasigeoid. The results
present values for geoid-quasigeoid separation
in the order of millimeters to the region under
study, suggesting new studies and future
consideration in technical and scientific works
