EDUCAÇÕES PARA A CIDADANIA: CAMINHO PARA UMA CULTURA DE PAZ
Este artigo relata uma experiência de
educação para a cidadania numa escola cristã
católica e filantrópica na cidade de Mossoró/
RN. O trabalho objetiva socializar a experiência
e refletir sobre a importância da educação
para a cidadania permeando o caminho para
uma cultura de paz. Para a efetivação da
pesquisa realizamos um estudo bibliográfico,
para compreender como educação e cidadania
podem dialogar para subsidiar uma cultura de
paz nos espaços escolares. Fundamentamonos
em autores como: Brandão (2007), Freire
(1999) e Matos (2014). Efetivamos entrevistas
com a supervisora pedagógica e a diretora da
instituição. Constatamos que as metodologias
de trabalho adotadas pela escola contribuem
para a aprendizagem dos alunos e o exercício
da sua cidadania. Portanto a escola deve
favorecer a aprendizagem das crianças
pautada na dinâmica de cultura de paz. Mas
só será possível se no falar e ouvir o outro,
possibilitarmos a troca de saberes entre sujeitos.

Abstract:
This article reports on a
citizenship education experience at a Catholic
and philanthropic Christian school in the city of
Mossoró / RN. The work aims to socialize the
experience and reflect on the importance of
education for citizenship permeating the path to
a culture of peace. To carry out the research, we
carried out a bibliographic study to understand
how education and citizenship can dialogue to
subsidize a culture of peace in school spaces.
We are based on authors such as Brandão
(2007), Freire (1999) and Matos (2014). We
conducted interviews with the pedagogical
supervisor and the institution’s director. We
found that the work methodologies adopted by
the school contribute to the students’ learning
and the exercise of their citizenship. Therefore,
the school should favor the learning of children based on the dynamics of a culture of
peace. But it will only be possible if in speaking and listening to the other, we enable
the exchange of knowledge between subjects.
