EDUCAÇÃO POPULAR E PEDAGOGIA FREIREANA: CONTRIBUIÇÕES DOS ANOS 60 PARA A ATUALIDADE
Este artigo tem como objetivo refletir acerca das experiências de Educação
Popular realizadas no Brasil durante a primeira metade dos anos 60, com destaque
para a influência de Paulo Freire na história da Educação Popular no Brasil, no
sentido de perceber as contribuições que tais experiências oferecem a educação na
atualidade. Trata-se de um estudo bibliográfico que integra a fase inicial de pesquisa
de mestrado em andamento. Quatro momentos compõem o texto. Primeiramente,
traz alguns apontamentos histórico-conceituais sobre a Educação Popular. Num
segundo momento, empreende uma breve discussão sobre Paulo Freire e suas
contribuições na trajetória da Educação Popular. O terceiro momento apresenta a
experiência da Campanha de Educação Popular da Paraíba (CEPLAR) como uma rica
experimentação prática de Educação Popular. E finalmente, a título de
considerações finais, me proponho a refletir a respeito dos significados e desafios
da Educação Popular no hoje e no prenúncio do amanhã.

Abstract:
This article aims to reflect on the experiences of Popular Education
carried out in Brazil during the first half of the 60s, with emphasis on the influence of
Paulo Freire in the history of Popular Education in Brazil, in the sense of perceiving
the contributions that such experiences offer to education. This is a bibliographical
study that integrates the initial phase of the master's research in progress.Four
moments make up the text. Firstly, it brings some historical-conceptual notes on
Popular Education. In a second moment, he undertakes a brief discussion about
Paulo Freire and his contributions in the trajectory of Popular Education. The third
moment presents the experience of the Popular Education Campaign of Paraíba
(CEPLAR) as a rich practical experimentation of Popular Education. And finally, by way
of final considerations, I propose to reflect on the meanings and challenges of
Popular Education in today and in the harbinger of tomorrow.
