Educação para as Relações Étnico-Raciais
afetará de forma positiva a vida dos negros no
Brasil, torna-se necessário para o brasileiro
conhecer toda a história da origem de sua
cultura. A maior divulgação da Lei nº 10.639/03
pode ser aplicada nas escolas juntamente
com a temática, e só vem a somar acerca da
difusão desses ideais que tentam romper de
vez a negatividade da imagem que o negro tem
na sociedade. O presente estudo teve como
objetivo investigar o nível de conhecimento
pelos docentes do município de Tucuruí-PA,
sobre o tema da educação para as relações
étnico-raciais e oportunizar espaços de estudo
e discussão. Torna-se importante a aplicação
deste trabalho, pois além de obter as respostas
por parte dos professores, oportunizou-se
espaço de conhecimento e diálogo sobre o tema.
Os resultados obtidos e analisados mostraram
pouco conhecimento dos professores sobre
esta temática, além de que a maior parte dos
docentes não conhecia a Lei e muitos, quase a
maioria, ainda não participaram de formações
iniciais e continuadas, no entanto, muitos deles
mostraram já ter presenciado situações de
preconceito entre os alunos. De forma positiva
os professores têm trabalhado nas escolas
a história e cultura afro-brasileira, contudo
esse trabalho não está ligado ao foco das
relações étnico raciais onde o negro possa ser
verdadeiramente valorizado, a temática tende a
não realizar um simples trabalho escolar, mas um
trabalho de dinamização cultural, trabalhando
na formação do aluno como cidadão, livre de
preconceito e carregado de cultura.

Abstract:
The discussion on the theme
of Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations will
positively affect the lives of blacks in Brazil, it
becomes necessary for the Brazilian to know
the whole history of the origin of his culture. The
greater dissemination of Law No. 10,639/03 can
be applied in schools together with the theme,
and only adds to the diffusion of these ideals
that try to break the negativity of the image that
the black has in society. The present study had as objective to investigate the level
of knowledge by the teachers of the city of Tucuruí-PA, on the subject of education
for ethnic-racial relations and to provide opportunities for study and discussion. It is
important to apply this work, because in addition to obtaining the answers from the
teachers, a space of knowledge and dialogue on the subject was made available.
The results obtained and analyzed showed little knowledge of the teachers on this
subject, besides that most of the teachers did not know the Law and many, almost
the majority, still did not participate in initial and continued training, however, many of
them have already shown situations of prejudice among students. In a positive way,
teachers have worked in Afro-Brazilian history and culture, but this work is not linked to
the focus of ethnic racial relations where blacks can be truly valued, the subject tends
not to perform a simple school work, but a cultural dynamization work, working on the
student’s education as a citizen, free of prejudice and loaded with culture.
