EDUCAÇÃO PARA A PAZ E VIOLÊNCIA NA ESCOLA: UM ITINERÁRIO A PARTIR DA PEDAGOGIA DA AUTONOMIA DE PAULO FREIRE
O presente artigo busca reafirmar
a pertinência e a atualidade do pensamento
de Paulo Freire, tendo como base a obra
Pedagogia da Autonomia, sendo parte de
um referencial para os estudos da Educação
para a Paz, além de delinear o entendimento
do que é violência na escola. Paulo Freire,
um educador brasileiro, que deixou vasta
literatura, é imprescindível para alicerçar uma
educação crítica e libertadora. Podemos, com
o olhar sensível e esclarecedor de Freire,
tecer reflexões sobre a presença da violência
no ambiente escolar e o papel da Educação
para a Paz, como forma de prevenção destas.
Neste caminho, o presente artigo destaca a
importância e a relação do livro Pedagogia da
Autonomia, de Paulo Freire, com as discussões
atuais sobre as violências no ambiente escolar
e o papel dos estudos da Educação para a
Paz. Sendo assim, trata-se de uma pesquisa
teórico reflexiva de cunho bibliográfico, que
objetiva contribuir com o campo de pesquisa
da Educação para a Paz, considerada como o
ramo pedagógico do paradigma da Cultura de
Paz, crescente no Brasil dos últimos anos.

Abstract:
This article seeks to reaffirm the
relevance and timeliness of Paulo Freire ‘s
thinking, based on the Pedagogy of Autonomy,
being part of a reference for the studies of
Education for Peace, as well as delineating the
understanding of what is violence in school.
Paulo Freire, a Brazilian educator, who left a
lot of literature, is essential to underpin critical
and liberating education. We can, with the
sensitive and enlightening look of Freire, make
reflections on the presence of violence in the
school environment and the role of Education for
Peace as a way of preventing them. In this way,
the present article highlights the importance
and the relation of Paulo Freire’s Pedagogy of
Autonomy, with the current discussions about
violence in the school environment and the
role of Education for Peace studies. a reflective
theoretical research of a bibliographical nature, aiming to contribute to the field of
research of Education for Peace, considered as the pedagogical branch of the Culture
of Peace paradigm, growing in Brazil in recent years.
