EDUCAÇÃO: O ABANDONO ACADÉMICO EM ANGOLA – CAUSAS PEDAGÓGICAS E SOCIOCULTURAIS
Em Angola o ensino superior evoluiu de modo exponencial depois da paz nacional em 2002, todavia o abandono académico é uma realidade. Este fenómeno pode dificultar o cumprimento de objetivos individuais, familiares, institucionais, nacionais ou internacionais. O estudo objetiva apresentar, no contexto do ensino superior público angolano, as causas do abandono académico, segundo os reitores das antigas regiões académicas e também dos estudantes, estes, através de membros de uma Associação de Estudantes de uma instituição de ensino superior pública. O conjunto de inquiridos tem um pendor inovador. Procura igualmente ser uma reflexão sobre como esse fenómeno pode ser uma dificuldade no cumprimento de objetivos do país. Em 2020, aplicou-se um inquérito aos reitores e um grupo focal a esses estudantes. Para uma base teórica do estudo fez-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica. Quanto ao objetivo trata-se de uma pesquisa explicativa. Os resultados empíricos comprovam que as causas do fenómeno são multidimensionais, sendo a maioria já referenciada pelos teóricos da temática. Espera-se que este estudo possa cooperar para um maior conhecimento deste fenómeno em Angola. Embora seja difícil de mitigar, devido à sua complexidade, pois envolve fatores internos e externos às instituições de ensino superior (e pode ter origem numa conjunção de diversas causas, incluindo as pedagógicas e socioculturais), algumas medidas para sua redução são apresentadas. Apela-se à consciencialização da importância do fenómeno, assim como à interação de todos os agentes integrantes do processo educativo e um trabalho conjunto feito de modo integrado e colaborativo.

Abstract:
In Angola higher education evolved exponentially after national peace in 2002, but academic dropout is a reality. This phenomenon can make it difficult to achieve individual, family and institutional, national or international objectives. The study aims to present, in the context of Angolan public higher education, the causes of academic dropout, according to the rectors of the former academic regions and also of the students, these, through members of a Student Association of a public higher education institution. The group of respondents has an innovative ply. It also seeks to be a reflection on how this phenomenon can be a difficulty in meeting the country's objectives. In 2020, an inquiry was applied to the rectors and a focus group to these students. For a theoretical basis of the study, a bibliographical research was carried out. As for the objective, this is an explanatory research. The empirical results prove that the causes of the phenomenon are multidimensional, most of which are already referenced by the theme theorists. It is expected that this study can cooperate for a greater knowledge of this phenomenon in Angola. Although it is difficult to mitigate, due to its complexity, it involves internal and external factors to higher education institutions (and may originate from a conjunction of several causes, including pedagogical and socio-cultural ones), some measures for its reduction are presented. It appeals to raise awareness of the importance of the phenomenon, as well as the interaction of all the agents that are part of the educational process and a joint work done in an integrated and collaborative way.
