EDUCAÇÃO MUSICAL NA SECRETARIA DE EDUCAÇÃO DE PORTO ALEGRE/RS: UMA PESQUISA DOCUMENTAL
A história da Educação Musical na Rede Municipal de Ensino de Porto Alegre remonta muitos anos. Essa história entrelaça-se à luta em torno da oficialização da música no Brasil. Juntamente a isso, há uma sintonia em relação aos esforços para a construção da Educação Musical como campo de conhecimento, tanto no Brasil, quanto no mundo. Considerando-se estes pressupostos, esta investigação partiu dos seguintes questionamentos: Quais são as políticas que se apresentam nas propostas de inserção da Música nas escolas de Porto Alegre? Como estas políticas se apresentam nos documentos oficiais disponíveis? Portanto, esta investigação objetivou investigar as políticas públicas em Educação Musical da Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Porto Alegre. Para o alcance dos objetivos, a investigação trilhou uma metodologia fundamentada na abordagem qualitativa, na pesquisa documental e bibliográfica como métodos, e na coleta de documentos via Internet como técnica para a coleta dos dados. A análise dos dados foi efetuada tendo por base a Análise de Conteúdo. Entende-se que os resultados desta investigação contribuem para a construção da educação musical como área de conhecimento e potencializar a inserção da música nas escolas da Rede Municipal de Ensino de Porto Alegre.

Abstract:
The history of Musical Education in the Municipal Education Network of Porto Alegre goes back many years. This story intertwines with the struggle around the officialization of music in Brazil. Along with this, there is a tuning in relation to the efforts to build Music Education as a field of knowledge, both in Brazil and in the world. Considering these assumptions, this research started from the following questions: What are the policies that present themselves in the proposals of insertion of Music in the schools of Porto Alegre? How do these policies appear in the official documents available? Therefore, this research aimed to investigate the public policies in musical education of the Municipal Department of Education of Porto Alegre. In order to reach the objectives, the research was based on a qualitative approach, on documentary and bibliographic research as methods, and on the collection of documents via Internet as a technique for data collection. The analysis of the data was made based on Content Analysis. It is understood that the results of this research contribute to the construction of musical education as an area of knowledge and to enhance the insertion of music in schools of the Porto Alegre Municipal Education Network.
