EDUCAÇÃO FÍSICA ESCOLAR: REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS ELABORADAS SEUS PROFESSORES
Este estudo se propôs investigar a prática da Educação Física nas escolas sob a ótica da Teoria das Representações Sociais na busca de compreender esta disciplina, em sua especificidade: “teoria-prática” por meio da identificação das representações sociais que os professores de Educação Física elaboram de sua prática. O estudo expôs a trajetória da Educação Física nas escolas, trajetória essa marcada por contribuições diversificadas decorrentes de mudanças na legislação específica, bem como nos avanços no campo de conhecimento desta disciplina desde o início de sua existência em instituições educacionais. No entanto, estas mudanças não foram acompanhadas por alterações equivalentes em sua prática. Desta forma constata-se um distanciamento entre o que é proposto em seu campo de conhecimento, na legislação que orienta esta disciplina e a realidade pedagógica existente nas instituições de ensino. Além disso, estudos no campo da Teoria das Representações Sociais mostram que esta é vista como uma disciplina de menor valor pedagógico em comparação com as demais disciplinas curriculares. Para o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa foram aplicados questionários à professores de Educação Física atuantes em escolas públicas e privadas, e os dados coletados nestes questionários foram tratados por métodos de análise segundo a abordagem estrutural. A representação social identificada da prática da Educação Física encontrada está fundamentada em elementos em torno do DESENVOLVIMENTO e do LÚDICO como elementos centrais e o ESPORTE, CORPO, MOVIMENTO e JOGOS como elementos relacionados ao sistema periférico desta representação. Os professores demonstraram por meio de um discurso elaborado que estes reconhecem a importância das abordagens críticas como um referencial de ideal, no entanto por meio de um discurso espontâneo estes demonstram claramente que a sua prática é regida por referenciais desenvolvimentistas. O esporte ainda se apresenta como elemento forte nas práticas justificado pelos professores, como instrumento lúdico e que favorece o desenvolvimento do aluno.

Abstract:
This study aimed to investigate the practice of physical education in schools from the perspective of the Theory of Social Representations in the quest to understand this subject, in its specificity: "theory and practice" by identifying the social representations that physical education teachers prepare of their practice. The study traced the trajectory of physical education in schools is marked by diverse contributions arising from changes in legislation governing the practice and advances in knowledge of this subject since the beginning of its existence in educational institutions. However these changes were not accompanied by corresponding changes in their practice. Thus there has been a gap between what is proposed in their field of knowledge, legislation that guides this discipline and pedagogical reality existing in educational institutions. Moreover, studies in the field of Social Representation Theory shows that this is seen as a discipline less educational value compared with other curricular subjects. For this research, questionnaires were administered to teachers of Physical Education, working in public and private schools and the data collected in these questionnaires were processed by methods of analysis according to the structural approach. The social representation identified the practice of Physical Education is based on elements found around the DEVELOPMENT and RECREATION as key elements and SPORT, BODY, MOVIMENT and GAMES as elements related to the peripheral system of representation. Teachers demonstrated through a prepared speech that they recognize the importance of critical approaches as a reference for it, however through a spontaneous speech they clearly demonstrate that their practice is regulated by developmental benchmarks. The sport is still presented as a strong element in the practices justified by teachers, play an instrument and that favors the development of the student.
