Abstract: Despite the common theme of education and its dynamics in individuals' trajectories, whether related to access or lack thereof to educational institutions, the processes involved in the learning experiences of adolescents are not fully engaged in debates seeking an emancipatory education from social assumptions. This study aims to research how the psychosocial processes within these educational dynamics contribute to the formation and development of adolescents' identities, subjectivities, and critical thinking, based on the theoretical foundation of socio-historical psychology and the contribution of some psychoanalytic concepts. Among the results, reflections were made on certain intersection points, aiming to understand how adolescents develop an emancipatory perspective in the face of social assumptions and paradigms present in contemporary society. The role of psychology professionals in addressing the challenges and issues faced by adolescents today was also discussed, seeking an ethical practice free from assumptions and oriented towards supporting the critical and identity appropriation of individuals. Based on this study, it was concluded that the contribution of psychology in the school context is essential in the fight against the stigmatization of adolescents, where they are not solely held responsible for any school problems or developmental difficulties, but rather understood within a contextualized and multifactorial socio- historical process. To be "healthy" is also to exist in a questioning manner against the social order, striving for a liberating existence, with individuals empowered by their historical realities and capable of transforming them.
