Abstract: Health education carried out since Nursing training presents itself as a potential for assistance, management and educational processes as a way of improving human well-being, as well as for comprehensive and resolute care. This study is a literature review carried out in 2020, in the Virtual Health Library, Theses Bank of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel and Pubmed Portal with studies from 2015 to 2019 and the descriptors: “education in health”, “training”, “nursing”, as well as quotes from classic books and ministerial documents. Health education in professional practice is understood, from the historical review of this activity as inherent to Nurses, as well as the curricular components and extracurricular experiences on health education during graduation, in addition to the mandatory and/or optional components. It is worth highlighting that in order to guarantee users and their families the improvement of their well-being, constant analysis of the teaching-learning process of health education in nursing graduation is necessary, especially in relation to students and teachers, as actors who plan, implement and evaluate such activities. It is concluded that the strategies of teachers, managers and students in undergraduate courses to insert active methodologies in the approach to health education increase the power of this action to strengthen Nursing, and can provide awareness for the improvement of human well-being.
