Abstract: Leprosy is an infectious disease transmitted by prolonged contact with a person infected with Mycobacterium leprae. When not identified early, children and adolescents are potentially affected by this disease. In this way, the use of educational technologies in moments of health education for adolescents becomes a tool for breaking the chain of transmission. The objective was to describe the experience of health education based on the use of educational technologies on leprosy for school-age adolescentes. Descriptive study, experience report type on the construction and application of an educational technology on leprosy during health education developed by members of the Academic League for Research and Extension Studies to combat Neglected Diseases, carried out between the months of September and October of the year 2021. To this end, the activity was developed in two stages: construction of educational technology and health education aimed at adolescents. In this way, an educational game was created about the myths and truths of leprosy, followed by health education aimed at adolescent students at a public school, located in a municipality in the interior of Ceará, through a conversation circle and educational game application. During the development of the educational game, the importance of teamwork, theoretical foundation, development of skills such as creativity and communication between participants was noticeable. Regarding health education based on an educational game, interaction was observed; active participation among teenagers; knowledge construction; and elucidation of doubts regarding the stigma surrounding leprosy. Additionally, the implementation of the game as an educational technology provided a moment of interaction between participants and adolescents, in addition to clarifying doubts, thus proving to be a valuable tool for early identification of the disease and consequently interrupting the transmission chain.
