EDUCAÇÃO EM ESPAÇOS NÃO ESCOLARES: UM ESTUDO BASEADO NO PROJETO CAMP MANGUEIRA-RIO DE JANEIRO
A educação abrange os processos formativos que se desenvolvem na vida familiar, na convivência humana, no trabalho, nas instituições de ensino e pesquisa, nos movimentos sociais e organizações da sociedade civil e nas manifestações culturais. Neste contexto, o objetivo deste artigo é analisar a contribuição da Escola de Samba Mangueira para a educação não formal e popular, a partir da descrição dos programas desenvolvidos pelo Círculo dos Amigos do Menino Patrulheiro. Os resultados obtidos possibilitam inferir que as atividades oferecidas pela Escola de Samba garantem a participação dos jovens da comunidade no processo de transformação sociocultural desses indivíduos e de seus grupos sociais.

Abstract:
Education encompasses the formative processes that develop in family life, in human coexistence, at work, in teaching and research institutions, in social movements and civil society organizations, and in cultural manifestations. In this context, the aim of this article is to analyze the contribution of the Mangueira Samba School to non-formal and popular education, based on the description of the programs developed by the Circle of Friends of the Boy Patrolman. The results obtained make it possible to infer that the activities offered by the Samba School guarantee the participation of young people in the community in the process of sociocultural transformation of these individuals and their social groups.
